Worldwide Interest!

Posted: 06/18/2008

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind! I did an appearance on Australia's version of "The Today Show" called "Sunrise," did a call-in to an Irish Talk Radio Show, did radio shows in Washington and North Carolina, and also appeared on CN8's "Your Morning" Show. And now I have interest from a Spanish language publisher to produce my book in Spanish. How exciting! I'm also going to be doing an interview for Italy's number one fashion magazine "Grazia". I guess I had no idea that online dating was such a global issue!

A Conquistador Contacts Me!

Posted: 05/13/2008

So one of the chapters in my book is entitled "The Conquistadors" which is basically all about the guys who are totally in it for the conquest, and once they've gotten what they want, they move on.

Low and behold I get an email from one of my "Conquistadors" the other day telling me he saw my book and congratulating me for publishing it. Then he proceeded to apologize and tell me how sorry he was for treating me so badly and how much he regrets it to this day. BUT HE STILL ISN'T A PLAYER! Or so he says.  Yeah right....

Cover to Cover!

So the book is out. People are reading it. And I'm getting great feedback. I've heard from some readers that they are reading it cover to cover in one sitting because they simply cannot put it down! That is so great to hear and so heart warming. And people can relate to my experiences which is even better! One of the reasons I wanted to write this book was to show women out there that we are all alike and experience the same trials and tribulations in online dating. People are laughing at my stories and trust me they are all COMPLETELY TRUE! Nothing has been embellished. I couldn't make up stuff this good! Happy reading!

The Same Guys Are Still Online!

Posted: 04/28/2008

So I went back online over the weekend and joined Match.com specifically for the purpose of emailing people online to tell them about my book. I started out emailing women in my town and got some great responses. Then I thought I would email some of the men and could not believe that some of the same guys that I had saw online four years ago when I moved to New Jersey are STILL ONLINE! Either these guys are serial daters or they just can't get a relationship going. Boy am I glad not to have to be dating online anymore!!!

Publicity

So the book has been out for a few days now -- it will be available on Amazon.com and BN.com soon -- and I am already getting requests for interviews and TV appearances. I guess online dating really IS a hot topic! In fact, everyone who is buying copies of the book tell me they want to either read about my experiences from sheer curiousity, or they know someone who has been doing online dating or is thinking about doing online dating and they want them to read about someone else's experiences.

In a few weeks I will be interviewed by the Lifestyle Editor of Reuters, on a women's radio show program, and will also appear on the morning show of CN8 the Comcast Channel.  Very exciting!  I've also been asked to write a column about online dating which will appear in the June issue of Going Bonkers Magazine.

The Book Is Now On Sale!

Posted: 04/22/2008

Just got the great news that my book is now on sale -- early!!! Thank you AuthorHouse! It has been an exciting few weeks. I've got radio interviews scheduled, will be interviewed on Reuters soon, and also on TV, and am also fielding deals for film and TV rights. Who knew there could be so much interest in online dating! I'm also negotiating with The Learning Annex to create an online dating course for them. Stay tuned!

And So It Begins

Posted: 04/15/2008

The countdown is on! My book will be available for sale on May 27th and I'm currently working on my press releases and book signing party. It's so exciting to finally have my first book about to be published. Who knew that when I started dating online 10 years ago, I would have enough fodder to write a book.

This book got started when I would recount the stories of my various dates to friends. One woman said "you need to write those down in a book!" and so I did. I think people who date online will be happy to learn that they are not alone in some of their experiences and others who have never dated online will find answers to some of their questions about how to date online. I've also had a lot of interest from married people or friends in long-term relationships who want to read the book just out of pure curiousity!

Stay tuned.....
